Rilasciato in tre “puntate” dal 5 Novembre al 16 Dicembre 2019, il soundtrack dello show DC Comics di HBO Watchmen è firmato dal duo, vincitore dell’Academy Award, composto da Trent Reznor e Atticus Ross. Il primo volume contiene i brani tratti dai primi episodi della – per ora – unica stagione della serie TV di Damon Lindelof, mentre nel secondo una selezione di brani dagli altri episodi e nel terzo i temi tratti dagli episodi finali.
Gli album sono stati distribuiti fisicamente, sia su CD che su vinile, e anche digitalmente da The Null Corporation nello stesso periodo. Della durata di circa 40 minuti ciascuno, le colonne sonore rispecchiano lo stile crudo e visionario dello show record di ascolti. Non si sa ancora se ci sarà una seconda stagione o se i nove episodi trasmessi vanno considerati come un unicum definitivo, tipo miniserie o serie TV limitata. Ecco le tracklist:
